1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:
- Service: The house clearance services provided by House Clearance Brockley.

- Agreement: The contract formed between the Client and House Clearance Brockley upon acceptance of services.
2. Services Provided
House Clearance Brockley offers comprehensive house clearance services, including but not limited to:
- Removal of unwanted items
- Disposal of rubbish
- Recycling and donation of eligible items
- Site clean-up post-clearance
3. Booking and Cancellation
3.1 Booking Procedure
To book our services, the Client must:
- Provide accurate information regarding the property and the items to be cleared.
- Confirm the date and time for the clearance.
3.2 Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are subject to no fees. Cancellations made within 24-48 hours may incur a 20% cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service may result in a full booking fee.
4. Payment Terms
Payments are due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash
- Debit/Credit Cards
- Bank Transfers
All prices are quoted in GBP and are subject to VAT where applicable.
5. Liability
House Clearance Brockley strives to handle all items with care. However, we are not liable for any pre-existing damage or hidden defects in items removed. The Client is responsible for ensuring that all valuable or fragile items are properly safeguarded.
Damage Coverage:
- In the event of accidental damage, please notify us immediately.
- We hold liability insurance up to £10,000 for accidental damage.
6. Access to Property
The Client must ensure that House Clearance Brockley has safe and adequate access to the property. If access issues are identified prior to the service date, the Client must inform us promptly to arrange alternative access or reschedule the appointment.
7. Data Protection
We are committed to protecting the Client's privacy. Any personal information collected will be used solely for the purpose of providing our services and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
8. Recycling and Donation
House Clearance Brockley is dedicated to environmentally responsible disposal. We prioritize recycling materials and donating items in good condition to local charities. Items that cannot be recycled or donated will be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
9. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Remove any personal valuables or items not intended for clearance.
- Provide a clear path for the clearance process.
- Ensure pets are secured or removed during the service.
10. Force Majeure
House Clearance Brockley is not liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, or pandemics. In such cases, services will be rescheduled at the earliest convenience.
11. Modification of Terms
House Clearance Brockley reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the appropriate courts of the same jurisdiction.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and House Clearance Brockley regarding the services and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
15. Acceptance
By engaging House Clearance Brockley, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
